TASK Manpower is the brainchild of AVM Dr. Pramod Kumar Shrivastava, VSM.
Air Vice Marshal Pramod Kumar Shrivastava, is a Mechanical Engineering graduate , M Tech IIT Kharagpur and Ph D in Management. He was commissioned in Indian Air Force in the engineering branch on Aug 1982. He has held many important appointments during his 36 + years of service. He has been Vice President of Technical Examination Board, Senior Production Engineer of Base Repair Depot, Chief Engineering Officer of a fighter/helicopter base, Commanding Officer of Repair & Salvage Unit (R & S U), Station Commander of Amla, Commandant at Air Force Technical College and at Senior most management level.
He has guided the team of engineers of Indian Air Force to design and develop new technology in repair of all types of aircraft. This new technology was appreciated by many countries. He led the team towards successful developments of a training missile. The critical technologies required for the realization of this multidisciplinary system, were mastered with validation through simulation, rigorous proof testing and extensive field trials. He has been instrumental in devising innovative schemes/solutions and establishing effective interfaces among all stake holders through continuous interaction with various organizations; Indian and International.
His impeccable planning, marshalling all the resources and leadership in Kargil operation and many other operations shown desired result. He was the pioneer to conceptualised, designed and implemented knowledge enhancement and skill development programme in Indian Air Force.
His work of restoration of an aircraft, crashed and buried in a dry river bed in 1947 near Air Force Station AMBALA, to its original shape in about six months, was well appreciated by than Hon’ble Defence Minister of India and by Indian and international media.
He is recipient of many awards including Commendation by Chief of Air Staff IAF in year 2003
And Vishisht Seva Medal by Dr A P J Kalam, The President of India in year 2006.
